Associate Professor Andrea L. Dennis' research was featured in The Root regarding rap music lyrics being used as criminal evidence by prosecutors. Her journal article titled "Poetic (In)Justice? Rap Music Lyrics as Art, Life, and Criminal Evidence" originally appeared in 31 Columbia Journal of Law & the Arts (2007). The Root article was written by Erik Nielson and appeared on 7/3/12.
