Abstract

Georgia Law's American Constitution Society partnered with other departments on campus to host Tomiko Brown-Nagin, author of the book "Courage to Dissent: Atlanta and the Long History of the Civil Rights Movement." Brown-Nagin's talk covered a variety of topics addressed in her book and emphasized the role of lawyers, courts and community-based activism during the civil rights era from both a historical and legal perspective.

The event was held at 4 p.m. at the University of Georgia Chapel, April 20, 2011.
