Description

This panel discussed the history of the National Parks system, the legal battle to designate Ocmulgee Mounds and surrounding areas as a National Park, how environmental justice plays a role in the success of a federally recognized park, and why we should care. Panelist Brian Adams is also president of the Ocumlgee National Part Preserve Initiative and panelist Claudio Saunt is also associate director of the Institute of Native American Studies.
