The Georgia Association of Law & Politics was founded in 2011 by a group of UGA Law students to explore emerging political issues and their intersection with the law, especially with regard to Georgia’s legal system.

Each fall, we sponsor the GALP Symposium to discuss critical legal and political issues facing our state and nation. In early spring, GALP sponsors UGA Law Legislative Day in Atlanta, providing UGA Law students an opportunity to meet and interact with state policy makers and leaders of the legal profession. Prior to spring exams, GALP leads the campus effort to raise donations for the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia as part of the Attorney General’s Legal Food Frenzy.
