Second-year student Mark Jones wins national writing contest

Abstract

Congratulations to second-year student Mark P. Jones, who won the Oklahoma Supreme Court's Chief Justice John B. Doolin Writing Competition. His paper, titled "Federal Political Influence Laws as Applied to Tribes in a Post-Abramoff Era: Legislative Flaws & Remedial Proposals, analyzed Indian gaming law lobbying in light of the Abramoff scandal. Professor Peter Appel supervised the project.
