Second-year law student wins environmental law writing competition
Abstract
Congratulations to second-year law student William R. Gignilliat for being named the winner of the 2011 Hogan/Smoger Access to Justice Essay Contest, a national competition that encourages law students to investigate and offer solutions to environmental injustices. Gignilliat's winning paper, titled "The Gulf Oil Spill: OPA, State Law, and Maritime Preemption," will be published in the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law.
