UGA to recognize Brown, Coenen and Dupre

End Date: 2006-04-26 Three Georgia Law professors - Lonnie Brown, Dan Coenen and Anne Dupre - will be recognized at the university's Honors Day program on April 26. These professors received faculty awards, presented by the law school student body, for professionalism, teaching excellence and furthering faculty-student relations, respectively.
Georgia Law takes third national advocacy title

End Date: 0000-00-00 Georgia Law won the 2006 Dean Jerome Prince Memorial Evidence Moot Court Competition. Congratulations to team members Quen Banks, Merritt McAlister and Andrew Stancil. McAlister was named the tournament's best oralist, and Georgia Law placed second in the best brief contest. Alex Reed coached the trio.
Don't forget to register- Expert Witnesses Seminar

End Date: 2006-04-10 This is the third and final session in the Alumni Advocacy Series. Titled "Expert Witnesses: How to Prepare, Present and Cross-examine Them," experienced litigators W.G. "Bill" Scrantom Jr., a partner with Page, Scrantom, Sprouse, Tucker & Ford, and Donald F. "Don" Samuel, a partner with Garland, Samuel, Loeb, will be presenting. Scrantom, who is a longtime member of the Columbus bar and an outstanding civil defense lawyer, will concentrate on civil case experts. While Samuel, who has just completed representation in the U.S. Supreme Court in the case of Georgia v. Randolph, will focus on using experts in criminal trials.
