Cox wins 2008 Russell Competition

End Date: 2008-04-21 Congratulations to first-year student Jessica Cox for winning the 2008 Richard B. Russell Moot Court Competition. Many thanks to finalist Kevin Murphy and the other participants for making this such a good tournament.

Reed wins advocate award at Douglass National Moot Court Competition; team places third

End Date: 2008-04-23 Congratulations to Melanie Reed for winning the Helen Dawn Williams Award for superior oral argument skills demonstrated throughout the 2008 Frederick Douglass National Moot Court Competition. She and teammate Arlisa Woodard, after winning the regional tournament earlier this year, finished the national contest in third place. More than 100 teams from across the country competed in this tournament. Aimee Pickett coached the Georgia Law team.
