Alumna selected as U.S. Supreme Court law clerk

End Date: 2008-08-15 Georgia Law alumna Merritt E. McAlister (J.D.'07) has been selected as a law clerk by U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens for the 2009 term. McAlister will be the fourth Georgia Law alumni to serve the U.S. Supreme Court in this capacity within a five year period.

Georgia Law alumnus receives 2007 Deak Award

End Date: 2008-06-17 Recent Georgia Law alumnus Robert Snyder (J.D.'08) received the 2007 Deak Award for his note, "'Disillusioned Words Like Bullets Bark,' Incitement to Genocide, Music, and the Trial of Simon Bikindi," published in the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. The Deak Award is an annual prize provided by Oceana Publications for the best student article in the United States appearing in a student-edited international law journal. The award is the student equivalent of the prize for the best article in the American Journal of International Law.
