Bailey and Wisner win England competition

Melvin England Mock Trial Competition were second-year students Stephanie Wisner and Charles Bailey. Congratulations to competition finalists third-year student ShaMiracle Johnson and second-year student Princewell Njoku and to all of the other participants who made this tournament such an outstanding success.

Georgia Law wins Best Brief Award at a national moot court competition

End Date: 2008-10-28 Congratulations to third-year students Yami MacKenzie and Tish Sikes who captured the Best Brief Award and finished as semifinalists at the National Emory Civil Rights and Liberties Moot Court Competition earlier this month. A second Georgia Law team, composed of third-year students Amer Ahmad and Josh Portnoy, advanced to the quarterfinal round of the competition.

Georgia Law students to compete in ABA's negotiation competition

End Date: 2008-10-20 Georgia Law will be fielding two teams in the American Bar Association Law Student Division's Negotiation Competition in November as part of the law school's new transactional skill-based competition program. Congratulations to the following law students who have been selected to compete: second-year students Patrick Baldwin, Johnson Bazzel, Allan Galis, Sara Gheesling, Rachel Goodrich, Bin Minter and Dimitri Williams and third-year student Danielle Davis.

Congratulations to EJF 1L Representatives for 2008-09

End Date: 2008-10-15 The Equal Justice Foundation has selected its 1L representatives for this school year. Please congratulate the following students: Section X - Texys Morris, Section Y - Kristin Rigdon and Section Z - Nate Viebrock. These representatives will serve on the EJF board and run the 1L Competition. The Equal Justice Foundation raises money to distribute to students working in unpaid public interest summer jobs.
