Georgia Law advances to international tier in Jessup tournament

End Date: 2009-03-13 Congratulations to second-year students Kevin P. Murphy, Tina Termei, Anna W. Howard and Benjamin W. Cheesbro who captured best brief and finished as finalists in a regional Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court tournament. They will vie for the world title during March in Washington, D.C. Third-year students Andrew J. Lavoie and Amanda L. Brooks served as brief editor and student coach, respectively. Also, the team was coached by Myra Creighton (J.D.'91) and Amy Godfrey (J.D.'05).

Georgia Law takes first at the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition

End Date: 2009-03-13 Congratulations to third-year students Danielle D. Davis, Candace A. Hill, Melanie D. Reed and Arlisa A. Woodard who won the regional round of the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition. The team will advance to the national tier of the tournament, which takes place in California.

Georgia Law wins regional round of National Trial Competition

End Date: 2009-02-23 Two teams from the School of Law recently captured the top slots at the regional National Trial Competition held in Atlanta. Teammates Michael J. Eshman and Titus T. Nichols along with teammates Amer H. Ahmad and Erin P. Redmon will advance to the national tier of the tournament to be held in Texas during March.

Second-year law student published in Trial Advocate Quarterly

Michael Rafi wins Beaird 1L Closing Argument Competition
