Georgia Symposium of Law & Politics, First Annual

Abstract

This day-long conference exploring prominent legal decisions and events of 2011, included panels that: analyzed the concerns that arise from the conflict between budget and rights to fair and speedy trials; discussed the implications of the new Georgia Evidence Code, effective January 1, 2013; considered the redistricting of Georgia's voting districts pending approval from US Dept of Justice; and explored the many aspects of Georgia's Illegal Immigration Reform and Enforcement Act of 2011.
