Description
This panel focuses on modern theories related to internal and external risk management practices of financial institutions. Panelists discuss how Dodd-Frank, Basel III, and other securities reforms have affected risk management strategies and whether these reforms have addressed pre-crisis risk management failures and are capable of detecting current systemic vulnerabilities. Panelists also discuss risk management conducted by regulators in their supervisory capacity and the effectiveness of these ongoing and newly-created powers.
