Abstract
Former Georgia State Rep. Robin Williams has been convicted of health care fraud and could be sentenced to 17 years. Trial law expert Ronald L. Carlson said the sentence's severity is due to the fact that "the federal government provides severe penalties for money laundering because it is often invoked in drug cases."
