Abstract
Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue has appointed Georgia Law alumnus Harold D. Melton (J.D.'91) to serve on the state's Supreme Court. Melton will begin his term on July 1 and will serve until 2008, when he will be eligible for election to a full six-year term.
