Public interest law conference to address poverty issues
Abstract
The second annual Working in the Public Interest Law Conference at the University of Georgia School of Law will explore practical approaches to lawyering that can best serve the poor by attracting an extensive group of speakers, panelists and attendees to campus March 30 and 31. Keynote speakers include Western Circuit Superior Court Judge Steve C. Jones, the chairman of the anti-poverty initiative Partners for a Prosperous Athens, and Stephen Bright, the president of the Southern Center for Human Rights.
