Abstract
U.S. Congressman John Barrow delivered the keynote address at the University of Georgia School of Law's commencement on Saturday, May 17. A Georgia native, Barrow was serving his second term in the U.S. House of Representatives representing the 12th District of Georgia. Before being elected to Congress, he served for 14 years on the Athens-Clarke County Commission, of which he is a charter member, and he operated a successful law practice. Barrow earned his bachelor's degree from UGA and his law degree from Harvard University, where he was one of the youngest members of his law school class.
