Media Advisory - New State Court Judges Orientation being held at the University of Georgia

What: New State Court Judges Orientation conducted by the Institute of Continuing Judicial Education. This training is held approximately once every 12 months and is administered every year in which there are at least 10 new State Court judges.

Who: All new State Court judges recently elected or appointed. Seventeen judges are attending the current session: Judd T. Drake, Candler County; Kelly Brooks, Charlton County; Samuel C. Finster Sr., Chattooga County; Maria Golick, Cobb County; Robert Preston, Coffee County; Hermann W. Coolidge Jr., Chatham County; Seay Van Patten Poulakos, Coweta County; Barbara J. Mobley, DeKalb County; T. Russell R. McClelland III, Forsyth County; Carla Brown, Gwinnett County; Randy Rich, Gwinnett County; Danny S. Shepard, Miller County; Richard L. Waters Jr., Mitchell County; Nancy N. Bills, Rockdale County; Grady K. Reddick, Screven County; James Irvin, Stephens County; and Russ F. Barnes, Sumter County.

Where: Dean Rusk Hall Courtroom, School of Law, North Campus.

When: Dec. 6-10. Schedule for Dec.8-10 attached.

Troup County Judge Jeannette L. Little, who has been responsible for the development of the training session for the last eight years, and ICJE Director Richard D. Reaves are available to speak to the media during the orientation program.
