SCHOOL OF LAW GRADUATION MOVED INDOORS TO STEGEMAN COLISEUM DUE TO THREAT OF RAIN
Athens, Ga. - Earlier this morning at the University of Georgia School of Law, the decision was made to move the graduation ceremony, scheduled for tomorrow, May 17, indoors to Stegeman Coliseum. The existing wet conditions and the threat of more rain drove the decision. School of Law Dean David E. Shipley regrets having to change the location. "The current wet conditions make the electrical set up unsafe. In addition, it is too risky to hold our ceremony outdoors due to the current forecast of thunderstorms for this evening and tomorrow morning."
Commencement will begin at 10 a.m. and U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas will deliver the keynote address.
