UGA LAW DEAN TO MEET WITH LOCAL ALUMNI
ATHENS, Ga. - University of Georgia School of Law Dean David Shipley will meet with alumni from Colquitt, Thomas, and Tift counties Thursday, February 3, 2000, during a noon luncheon at the Ember's Restaurant in Moultrie. The luncheon is being sponsored by the Moultrie law firm of Kirbo & Herndon.
The visit is part of an ongoing series for the dean, who is speaking about the law school and meeting with alumni and others around the state and nation to update them on activities at the UGA School of Law. Shipley is in his second year as dean of the state's flagship law school.
"I really enjoy getting around the state to talk about the law school," said Shipley. "The trips are fun, everyone enjoys the fellowship, and it is vital for the law school to stay in touch with the people it serves."
