ACCLAIMED WORKPLACE COMMUNICATIONS EXPERT & BEST-SELLING AUTHOR SPEAKS AT UGA LAW SCHOOL

ATHENS, Ga. -- Connie Glaser, a nationally-recognized writer and consultant on women in the workplace, will present a "Power Communications Seminar" Wednesday, February 5th at 4 p.m. in the auditorium of the University of Georgia School of Law. Glaser's presentation, sponsored by the Women Law Students Association (WLSA), is open free to the public.

Glaser's seminar will encompass such topics as: "Communicating with Clout," "Beyond He Said, She Said," "The Rx for Credibility," "The Confidence Quotient," "Say What You Mean, Mean What You Say," and "Strategic Listening."

Glaser's books, the best-seller, "Swim With the Dolphins," and "More Power to You," now in its fourth printing and translated into eight languages, are aimed at helping women overcome the glass ceiling -- that intangible barrier which prohibits women from reaching the upper ranks of business. Her lectures and publications examine new methods of managing, such as delegating, team-building, and employee empowerment; and learning to speak, listen and use body language properly.

A popular guest on national TV and radio talk shows, Glaser has also been featured in USA Today, Chicago Tribune and Entrepreneur Magazine. Her clients over the past 15 years include Xerox, AT&T, Time Warner, First Union Bank, McDonald's Corporation and Forbes Magazine.

"While geared toward women, Ms. Glaser's seminar will help anyone, male or female, who listens to it," said Hilary Fentress, lecture coordinator for WLSA. "We hope the audience will develop a better understanding of how to communicate with men in the workplace and with everyone in general. Her lecture should give them more confidence and ability to express themselves effectively."

Glaser holds a master's degree from the University of Michigan, and has served as a faculty member for the International Management Council and the American Institute of Banking. She was recently honored by being named to the World's Who's Who of Women. Glaser lives in Atlanta with her husband and two children.
