Abstract
Distinguished Research Professor & Shackelford Distinguished Professor in Taxation Law Emeritus Walter Hellerstein served as an outside expert to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development as one of two facilitators of a two-day workshop on the design and operation of value added taxes and alternative consumption taxes for representatives of the Ministry of National Economy and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana, Kazakhstan, during June.
