Title

SAVANNAH SCHOOLS TO FIRE LAIDLAW?

Authors

Abstract

The Savannah-Chatham County School Board will meet to debate whether it wants to keep Laidlaw Education Services for the remainder of its contract. Although the company is unpopular within the school district, a law suit could result if its contract is terminated. Georgia Law Professor James C. Smith said if Laidlaw won the suit, it would most likely be awarded "damages equal to the two years of profits it would have earned had the contract remained in place."
