The conference was held on April 14, 2005 at the Sheraton Midtown in Atlanta, Georgia and on April 15, 2005 at the University of Georgia School of Law. The conference was hosted by the University of Georgia Dean Rusk Center International, Comparative and Graduate Legal Studies, School of Law. Cosponsors: Center for International Trade and Security, UGA School of Public and International Affairs, Georgia Department of Economic Development, and Georgia China Alliance Proceedings were published in the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. The conference’s speakers – business, legal and policy specialists from the government, academic and private sectors – discussed investment, services, market access, agriculture, textiles, intellectual property and export controls in relation to trade between the two countries. U.S. Deputy Secretary of Commerce Theodore W. Kassinger (J.D.’78) delivered the keynote address.
