School of Law receives 2020 Laspau University Award
The University of Georgia received the 2020 Laspau University Award, which recognizes exceptional contributions made in working with Laspau grantees. Associate Director for International Professional Education Laura Kagel received the award on behalf of the Dean Rusk International Law Center.
Laspau, an affiliate of Harvard University, is committed to the advancement of education in Latin America and the Caribbean, believing that education is the foundation of positive change. To achieve this goal, Laspau works with thousands of scholars, educators and institutions across the world by providing scholarships, connecting universities with their ideal candidates, and sharing new and more innovative teaching methods with international institutions.
Cindy Hawkins Rada (LL.M.'20) was a Laspau grantee. She earned her bachelor's degree from the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia, and a degree in Business Law from the Universidad Externado de Colombia in Bogotá. Hawkins was the recipient of a Fulbright Award and focused her time during her LL.M. studies on international law.
