Barnett serves as reporter for the federal government's Model Adjudication Rules

Abstract

Hosch Associate Professor Kent Barnett served as the reporter for the Administrative Conference of the United States’ (ACUS) Model Adjudication Rules (MARs) Working Group, which has published revised MARs. These rules, which have not been revised since their establishment in 1993, are designed to be used by all federal agencies in their hearings. The working group, comprised of academics, agency officials and practitioners, helped to revise these rules. ACUS, the independent federal agency charged with providing research and recommendations to improve the federal bureaucracy, posted the final revised rules in the Federal Register.
