Lanier receives grant from the Quality Trust for Individuals with Disabilities

Abstract

Mediation Practicum Director and Clinical Professor Eleanor Crosby Lanier has received a grant from the Quality Trust for Individuals with Disabilities to help create an innovative supported decision-making interactive tool that will guide older adults and people with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD) through the self-determination process independently. The tool is envisioned to be a simple “if/then” application, accessible via any Internet connection, that will be consciously designed for ease of use by older adult and I/DD populations contemplating guardianship and life choices.
