Abstract
Professor Donald E. Wilkes Jr.'s 4-volume State Postconviction Remedies and Relief Handbook was cited in a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision in the case of Wall v. Kholi, 131 U.S. 1278 (2011). The court referenced Wilkes' book when discussing the issue of characterizing a motion to reduce the sentence as a "collateral" or "postconviction" remedy.
