Georgia Criminal Law Review
Submissions
Making a Submission
The Georgia Criminal Law Review invites the submission of unsolicited articles, notes, comments, blog posts and works of legal scholarship from scholars, judges, researchers, and practicing attorneys discussing issues relevant to criminal law and criminal procedure. Articles may include, but are not limited to issues surrounding : statutory interpretation, legislative amendments to current law, criminal justice reform, incarceration, sentencing, juvenile justice, domestic violence, the death penalty. This is a field of law that is in perpetual change, and we invite submissions that take a historical view, examine case law and present solutions to existing problems in our criminal justice system. In an effort to highlight as many of our own students as possible, submissions from current students receive priority for publication in each issue. However, we will accept submissions from students at other law schools, as we have an online platform and annual symposium issue.
Publication Frequency
The Journal publishes seeks to print editions annually, one that highlights topics covered at the spring symposium and another that highlights the legal scholarship of students. The Journal's fall publication process begins in mid-August, and the spring publication process begins in early January. Although the Journal accepts submissions throughout the year, the Journal's publication offers usually are made at the beginning of each semester's publication process. The Journal encourages authors to keep this in mind when submitting articles for publication in a particular edition. Finally, citations in manuscripts should follow The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (21st ed. 2020).
