Abstract
David Meade Feild is by any standard an extraordinary man and teacher of law. During his tenure at this law school and other institutions he has had a profound influence on a large number of men who now comprise a substantial portion of the bench and bar of the State of Georgia. Certainly the tributes contained in this issue testify that such is so. But profound influence and similar lofty terminology are inadequate and crude instruments with which to describe Professor Feild, especially in his very personal relationship to the student body.
