Abstract

In the post World-War II invasion of the University of Georgia by returning veterans, the Law School received over 500 of the most mature, most critical, and most independent of the group. Truly the years of 1945-50 were exciting ones at Athens and those days of crowded classrooms, split sessions, and twelve months' operation produced a large number of graduates to fill the great need in the legal profession existing at the time. Many of that group now hold positions of leadership and responsibility (for better or worse!) in the bar, the courts, and government of the state. All were marked by D. Meade Feild.
