Abstract

T HE members of the Editorial Board pay me high honor in requesting that I contribute a few lines to this issue so appropriately dedicated to Professor David Meade Feid on the occasion of his retirement from teaching in the Law School. Professor Feid is a man of so many interesting facets, however, that one is awed by under- taking to meet such a request. Because attempting to write about him is a little like grasping at the wind (and, more practically, because I shall no doubt have to debate with him each statement that I make), I wish simply to express a few thoughts at random about this colleague and former teacher whom I so greatly admire.
