Abstract
ASSESSSMENT of his virtues as a teacher must be left to those who have been his students. Their voices will not be lacking, since the quiet humor and sharp analysis which he has demonstrated under other circumstances can only have added up to a great classroom performance. Appraisal of his writings in the field of commercial law is a task for those whose tastes and talents run in that direction. His impact upon the evidence law of the State of Georgia will be found in the printed reports of the decisions of its courts and in the files of its law offices, demonstrating again the significance of the increasing number of fine local evidence works and quality writings upon local evidence problems.' What is proposed here is some summary of Tom Green's contribution to the law of federal evidence, a field which he made almost uniquely his own.
