UGA to open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11Monday, December 10, 2018
Following the directive for state agencies by Governor Nathan Deal and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our campus community, the University of Georgia will delay its opening until 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, due to the threat of icy conditions in the Athens area.
Students and faculty affected by the rescheduling should consult the University of Georgia Registrar’s Office (reg.uga.edu) to learn if there is a new location for their exam. This information will be posted at the Registrar’s website by 10:00 a.m.
All other exams scheduled for Tuesday, December 11, 2018 will take place as previously determined.

As you plan your travel for Tuesday, please keep in mind the following suggestions:
- Travel to campus is likely to take longer than normal, so plan accordingly.
- If you are traveling from off-campus, you should defer to local emergency management officials on the best routes to take and whether travel in your area is safe. Faculty, staff and students are urged to consider their personal safety and travel with caution.
