School of Law welcomes new alumni/alumnae board members and 2020-21 officers

Abstract

The University of Georgia School of Law is pleased to welcome the newest members joining its alumni/alumnae boards, as well as officers for 2020-21.

The Board of Visitors, chaired by Marlan B. Wilbanks (J.D.'86), welcomes: Santhia L. Curtis (J.D.'91) of Smyrna, GA; Henry G. Garrard (J.D.'71) of Athens, GA; Susan L. Lanigan (J.D.'88) of Nashville, TN; Audrey B. Tillman (J.D.'89) of Columbus, GA; Charlie B. Thompson (J.D.'03) of Atlanta, GA; and Allen W. Yee (J.D.'03) of Atlanta, GA.

The Law School Alumni Council 2020-21 executive committee leadership includes: President J. Matthew Loudermilk (J.D.'00) of Columbus, GA; President-Elect Kate L. Jenson (J.D.'10) of Washington D.C.; Treasurer Brian P. Cain (J.D.'87) of Atlanta, GA; Secretary Phaedra Parks (J.D.'98) of Atlanta, GA; and Immediate Past President/Nominating Committee Chair Michael J. Blakely Jr. (J.D.'06) of Decatur, GA.

Incoming members who joined the LSAC on July 1 for a three-year term include: Lee Ann Bambach (J.D.'97) of Suwanee, GA; Stephanie Yancey Hunter (J.D.'88) of Columbus, GA; and Veronica L. Richardson (J.D.'06) of Atlanta, GA.

The School of Law is also pleased to announce the Young Alumni/Alumnae Committee leadership team for 2020-21. They include: President Nicholas H. Howell (J.D.'13) of Atlanta, GA; Vice President Texys Morris Wheelock (J.D.'11) of Birmingham, AL; and Secretary Ellen R. Clarke (J.D.'14) of Mountain View, CA.

Together, these alumni/alumnae leadership boards work in conjunction with the dean, faculty, staff and students to advance the law school's mission, which is represented in three words - Prepare. Connect. Lead. They also support efforts to achieve the law school's vision of being the best return on investment for a legal education in the country, while serving to strengthen connections between the school and its approximately 11,000 living graduates.
