Ewulonu receives EJW Public Interest Award

Abstract

Congratulations to third-year student Nneka I. Ewulonu for being selected for an Equal Justice Works 2021 Regional Public Interest Award. Chosen from 75 applications, Ewulonu is one of eight students recognized for their exemplary commitment to public interest law and pro bono work.

"Equal Justice Works is proud to recognize Nneka for their outstanding contributions in advocating for Black, LGBTQ+, and other marginalized communities in Georgia," said Aoife Delargy Lowe, vice president of law school engagement and advocacy at Equal Justice Works. "Nneka has built up a wealth of experience through their pro bono work and service on the UGA School of Law campus, which will be extremely valuable in their career as a public interest lawyer."

The winners will receive a commemorative plaque and a monetary reward.

Founded by law students in 1986, Equal Justice Works seeks to brings together an extensive network of law students, lawyers, legal services organizations and supporters to promote a lifelong commitment to public service and equal justice.
