UGA School of Law grads lead in state bar passage for eighth straight year
Abstract
University of Georgia School of Law graduates who sat for the July 2021 Georgia bar exam posted a 95.7% pass rate, the highest rate among first-time takers from Georgia law schools, and over 15 points ahead of the overall first-time pass rate. For the eighth straight year, the University of Georgia leads the state in the pass rate for this exam.
"I am very proud of our 2021 graduates for their recent success on the Georgia bar exam," UGA School of Law Dean Peter B. "Bo" Rutledge said. "Bar exam passage is an essential step for those entering the legal profession, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to help all of our students achieve this goal. As part of our vision to be the nation's best return on investment in legal education, we employ several initiatives to assist our students with their preparation. From our study-partner program to alumni/alumnae support for bar prep course stipends alongside our supportive faculty and staff – especially Assistant Dean Tony Waller and other members of the bar preparation working group – we are partners to our students, now and in the future.”
