UGA grads post highest state bar exam pass rate
Abstract
Congratulations to the University of Georgia School of Law graduates who took the Georgia bar exam for the first time at the February 2022 sitting. Collectively, they posted the highest passage rate (88.9%), exceeding the rates of grads from other Peach State law schools and more than seven points of the average.
“We are very proud of our students and their strong performance on the February 2022 Georgia bar exam,” School of Law Dean Peter B. “Bo” Rutledge said. “Our graduates’ consistently high Georgia bar passage rates and Ultimate Bar Passage rates are a credit to their hard work and speak to the quality of legal education provided at the University of Georgia as well as to our vision of being one of the nation’s best returns on investment in legal education. Under the leadership of Asst. Dean Tony Waller, we continuously look for ways to help our students prepare for this important test beyond our Bar Exam Success Team study program and the provision of bar prep course stipends. We also remain committed to helping our students who did not achieve the desired result at this sitting to find success and become future legal leaders for state and society.”
