UGA SCHOOL OF LAW HONORS EMPLOYEES FOR LONG SERVICE

ATHENS, GA. - Yesterday, the University of Georgia's School of Law honored its long-term employees for their dedication and hard work.

At the school's annual holiday luncheon, School of Law Dean David Shipley said it is important to recognize employees as they reach certain milestones in their career. "Length of employment provides a nice opportunity to acknowledge the dedication and service an employee has provided to an organization."

"The law school is only as strong as its faculty and staff. As we continue to increase the school's prominence and stature, our people are key. This is why it is critical to recognize them for their achievements," he said.

Employees honored at the luncheon include: 30-year employees John A. Sibley Professor of Law Julian B. McDonnell; Professor of Law Donald E. Wilkes

25-year employee Associate Professor of Law Larry E. Blount

15-year employees Vickie E. Addison; Clair R. Drew; Linda A. Dudley; J. Michael Holloway; Laura J. Johnson; Myra F. Patrick; Pope Brock Professor of Law L. Ray Patterson

10-year employees Donna M. Albea; Brian E. Davis; Mary L. Fielding; Russell C. Gabriel; Rosemary M. Hathaway; Yolanda Williams

5-year employees David H. Brooks; Anne E. Burnett; Myrtle S. Miller; Assistant Professor Alexander W. Scherr

Ehrhardt from Florida State University College of Law.
