Georgia Law grads leading Georgia’s lawyers

Abstract

Congratulations to the Georgia Law graduates now leading the activities at the State Bar of Georgia – President Patrick T. O’Connor (J.D.’81), Treasurer Kenneth Bryant "Ken" Hodges III (J.D.’91) and Young Lawyers Division President Jennifer Campbell Mock (J.D.’07). Additionally, Jennifer Auer Jordan (J.D.’01) just joined the state bar’s board.

Several alumni and alumnae received honors for their service and dedication to the profession during the organization’s Annual Meeting. They include: Distinguished Service Award – R. Chris Phelps (J.D.’76); Chief Justice Thomas O. Marshall Professionalism Award – Robert Benham (J.D.’70); Tradition of Excellence Awards – John Allen Dickerson (J.D.’71), John W. Timmons (J.D.’70), Michael L. Murphy (J.D.’73) and William S. “Bill” Stone (J.D.’78); YLD Ethics & Professionalism Award – Amanda M. Mathis (J.D.’11); Award of Achievement for Service to the Profession – Daiquiri J. Steele (J.D.’08); Award of Achievement for Service to the Public – Amanda N. Moyer (J.D.’11); and Award of Achievement for Service to the YLD – ShaMiracle S. Johnson (J.D.’09).
