Copyright and Course Reserves: Electronic and Media Reserves

Following a group webinar viewing at UGA Law Library in Athens, GA, on March 11, 2020 librarians from UGA Libraries and UGA Law Library served as panelists to facilitate discussion among attendee's. This event was organized and sponsored by the Academic Library Division of the Georgia Library Association. The webinar viewed by the group was recorded and provided by the Association of College and Research Libraries.

Abstract

Moderated by UGA Law Library's Rachel Evans, Metadata Services Librarian, panelists included UGA Library’s Mariann Burright, Head of Scholarly Communication, Copyright, and Science Collections, and UGA Law Library’s Stephen Wolfson, Research and Copyright Services Librarian. Topics of discussion centered around fair use versus the TEACH Act as justification, and included questions and opinions related to the Georgia State University copyright case and recent court decisions.
