So You Wanna Apply for a Promotion?
Abstract
While moving up in law librarianship sometimes means literally moving to a new institution and while there are different processes across the types of law libraries, there are some common issues and questions involved when applying for a promotion. In this “So, You Wanna . . .?” interview, Eliza Boles will talk to our panel of four about their experiences in getting promotions and assisting people in that same goal. They will discuss topics such as preparing for the promotion application process, how to “make the case” for a promotion, things to be aware of during the process, and considerations for internal applicants. Panelists include an HR subject matter expert and law librarians in academic, firm, and government institutions.
