Sibley Lecture Photo Gallery Archive

In 1964, the trustees of the Loridans Foundation established the John A. Sibley Lectures. These talks honor the leadership and public spirit of this 1911 University of Georgia School of Law graduate. It is hard to place the contributions of John Adams Sibley in any given decade, for his service to the law school and to the state of Georgia extended over a period of almost 80 years.

The series of photographs archived below were either taken at Sibley Lectures or were provided by speakers to be used in the promotion of their lecture for the University of Georgia School of Law. Visit the Sibley Lecture Series for a complete listing of speakers, lecture dates and video recordings if available.

Digitization, metadata creation, and increased discoverability of a majority of the historical photographs and other still images in this collection was made possible thanks to the subgranting program through the Digital Library of Georgia (DLG).
